Hi Joe,
Yeah I believe in the UK we got the Imperial by B&H and in the US you got the New Standard by Besson however they are both exactly the same instrument! I have heard stories of the poorer quality instruments being branded Besson New Standard and being sent to the US, however I have come across a few New Standards over here and they seem as good as the Imperial.
