' agree with your comments. Most of the 60's-70's instruments that were originally sold in the U.S. from that era sport the name "Besson". Very few (if any) originally U.S.-sold euph's from that era are found with the engraving "Boosey & Hawkes Imperial".

Most of the very old 4V comp's that made it over to the U.S. probably weren't here originally, or have sat around forever either accepting abuse or cobwebs, rather than pitch conversions.
