That is exactly what I say, no matter what my perceived level of the performance: "I'm so glad you enjoyed it!"

I'm taking a leadership class at my church right now. What we are being taught to do is so similar to performing that it amazes me. The leader (being trained to lead small discussion or task groups) has to monitor content and participation, as well as make sure the discussion stays on track. It requires an outwardly focused attention with control that to me is similar to performing. I can't bumble around in either situation out of fear of being observed; I have to focus on what I'm doing instead of how I feel about doing it, to bring about the desired results. I found the type of concentration required just about the same as playing my instrument in performance.
