I have a plastic rim around my mouthpiece on my ceremonial horn--so my lips don't get stuck to the mouthpiece whilist on very cold funerals. It also helps keep the mouthpiece stuck on my face when it's really hot outside.
I hate it. It's a big change and I suggest you give yourself ample time to get use to it before an audition or recital.
