I understand your concern. Bessons have very nice sound. But if you cannot try out the instruments out before buying I would suggest that you went for the Yamaha. They are in tune and they are very consistent. The Bessons on the other hand are sometimes very much out of tune. I own a YEP642 (had a Besson 967) and every time I try out a Besson I'm very pleased about the smooth dark sound but after a week or so I only want my Yamaha back. The Yamaha is for me much more free blowing and because it's in tune it also much easier to play. You don't have to lip the notes like you do on the Besson.
