I borrowed and played three at the Atlanta TubaChristmas out of curiosity. They're not bad playing or sounding horns. They're surprisingly bulky because the valve tubing is not wrapped closely at all. Tone is decent, and intonation was pretty good. The valves are not for students with small hands; the stroke is quite long. For the money, they're good. I'll probably pick one up myself soon.
