Playing with Glasses

Dear listers,

I am finally getting to that point in life, and was wondering if there is any experience you can share, as to what kind of glasses work well for far-sighted musicians. Do those "half" glasses (the ones that look like the bottom half of bi-focals) work? What do you think?
