Then again, if the question(s) were asked in a diplomatic way, an answer could very possibly be given that would answer the question.
Another possibility would be to establish a relationship with the owners of some of the big tuba sellers and ask them the same questions. Perhaps some of them might have an answer acceptable to some of us. Just a thought.
