If you buy a 186 new ($4500) and keep it in great shape, you can sell it within five years for a couple hundred dollars under the price you originally bought it for. A very wise investment. Conversely, if you put some dents in it and have them rolled out, or damage the valve assembly, but have it fixed, you can still probably sell it for about $500 under the new price. In a completely subjective statement, I'd say Mirafones are the best models for any aspiring high school student.
