a few years ago in the T.U.B.A. journal said they used their
Hirsbrunner 4/4 more than any other horn they owned. Most of
the players I see and hear use a 4/4 for most of their work.
Outside of the truly "big-ass" orchestras, where would one
play a larger horn without covering up the rest of the ensemble
or loosing the agility a 4/4 gives. Just my 2 cents but you may
want to hang on to that puppy. They aren't as easy to come by
the second time.
