I got my Arban Book for Tuba from Encore.
The book is hard to find, so I went and got it from Encore since I could not find it anywhere else. Arban books are always a little expensive, but it is the same price as the trumpet or trombone book and is saves you from having to read octaves lower (you can play the music as written with no work involved)
It is an excellent book, and I think that every first year tuba player should be started with this book as a supplement to a beginning method book. It should then be continued every year through college. If music educators used a system like this every high school senior would be ready to audition for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (ha ha ha) by the time they were ready to graduate.
