While I agree with Jon's assessment of the YEP-641, I think the 642 is another
story altogether. I tried a couple, and was really impressed. As others
have suggested, try different mouthpieces. A 51D isn't the answer to all
euph questions... I had a teacher that swore by the 51D, and she asked me
to try it in my Besson 967GS. I did, and we both agreed that it just didn't
sound right, the sound didn't suit the horn. Try something like a Denis Wick 4AL
and see how that works.
