It sounds like YOU need to listen to all of the available c.d. reissues of the Louis Prima stuff from the mid-'50's through the mid-'60's. Your description sounds like a definition of "Louis Prima with Sam Butera and the Witnesses".

Locate the Louis Prima "Collectors Series" (Capitol), as an introduction to his music: Oh Marie; Just a Gigolo; Buona Sera; Jump, Jive, and Wail(the ORIGINAL); When You're Smilin'/Sheik of Araby; ' World on a String; Angelina; Sing, Sing, Sing(he, the COMPOSER!); Black Magic; Got You Under My Skin; et al. Listen, enjoy, emulate, and get GIGS.
