I have a jury coming up soon and as part of the "audition" I have to play a movement of a brass quintet piece to show off my chamber music style. I've chosen to play the first movement of the Malcolm Arnold Brass quintet piece. Now, my question is....should I play it on F or CC tuba? I could easily do it on either, but I need to know what the common practice is. When I perform this for the jury, what would they be looking for in this piece? Thanks
