These 2 recorders produce excellent sound quality if you use a good mic like the at822 or 825. I use the cdr300 at school to record rehearsals and concerts. The only problem is that they are not easy to use. I still find myself refering to the instructions to do stuff. Lots or buttons, dials, options...
