Hi everyone,
Earlier this year, I went to a music camp and studied with a very famous professional tuba player, who shall remain nameless for right now, who suggested that I needed to buy a new tuba in order to take my playing to a level that would land me a professional job. However, I don't feel the same way that this person does (I know, I don't want to buy a tuba, and that's strange), as I just can't afford the large amount of money that I would need.
What should I do? This person knows a heck of a lot more than I do about tuba playing, but I also think that sometimes people try to force their opinion because they don't like a brand/model you play on. I don't know, but any information would be appreciated. Thank you very much.
