I have recently "acquired" an older helicon and I wonder if anyone here is in a position to help me identify it? It's in BBb, has three rotary valves, a smallish bore, nickel-silver finish, and the markings "KCHX N23751962r" on the slightly-flared bell. From the general condition of the horn, the (rough) quality, and my knowledge of Slavic languages, I'm willing to guess that the "1962r" refers to the year it was built. It's a funky little beast that's going to need a bit of rebuilding, for sure, but I've no idea really about it's origins...
