From your post you seem to already have people who can enlighten - lets start with them. Besides if you post your suggestions to the people for which you have concerns here and state who those people are so I can scour for recordings as to how to not play maybe I myself can gain some insight and enlightenment thus improving my ability to teach and emulate the "correct" way to produce musical line.
