The pet peeve has collided with the 11th Commandment: Thou shalt not exercise thy critical faculties even in constructive observation, unless thou art one of the certified gods of brass before whom all others bow. How we develop critical faculties, a key to developing our own abilities, if we don't exercise them remains unanswered.
