The pollution of course is a matter of perception. Cigars, Monicas, and Marilyns are without any implications on a world level scale. But lack of capacity and format butterflied into office can be disastrous.
Gore might equal bore, but competence often has a dull face. If even a 3rd league university ever has considered employing your present president as a resident lecturer, I would be glad to be informed about that. Actually rather sad than glad on behalf of the students.
Some of us might know of the present world level conference in Johannesburg, very little SA specific, and of some recent writing in the NYT.
