good point Lee. As a tuba/bass boner you will probably have a pretty dark tonal concept anyway, so a smaller bore horn will help you sound more like a trombone and not a slide euph, which is a pet peeve of mine. Even on my bass bone I want to sound like a trorbone and not a euph (nothing wrong with sounding like a euph if you are a euph but not if you are trombone.)
