Now I�m no Warren Deck, but compensating��nah, I don�t think so. I�m quite happy with where I�m at in this stage of my life. I�m obviously not a fan of anything marching related, and found it funny that the young kid that originally posted thought that DCI is the standard by which we judge tuba playing. I mean, when was the last time a professional player told you to join a marching band? They don�t!!!!! They tell you to stay the #$(AT)$ away from them. To answer you�re question though, I may not have copious amounts of skill when it comes to the tuba, but I know that if I�m serious about playing the tuba that I should steer far away from DCI. I�ll take my pt-6 over a sousaphone any day.
