A guy in our studio just bought a new alex...I played it, and it played a lot like a miraphone 186 or 188. I'm sure he'll also comment on it. I didn't care for it, because it was too small. Granted.. not much is bigger than my Rudy 5/4. Had an allright sound, but many intonation problems. Wasn't impressed by the high register, but the lows seemed to pop out well. Just my opinion of about 30 mins of playing this...
