I have purchased a Besson 3 + 1 horn, and breaking it in. I was talking to my dad the other night about the synthetic vs. regular oil for cars, 2-stroke engines etc, and started thinking about valve oil. There are quite a number of options for valve oil.
Questions:
1. What is your favorite valve oil to use on piston horns?
2. What do you use to lube the tuning slides?
3. Does it harm the horn to use a combination of synthetic and non-synthetic products?
I've just used regular besson valve oil, and have just lubed the slides with Vasoline (in the past). What's the best combo?
