It doesn't matter whether you consider yourself a musician first or not. That's irrelevant. While my wording my have been a little sarcastic and blunt (and for that I apologize) I stand by the fact that there are times when you want that "bass tuba sound" over the heavier "contra-bass tuba sound", and the YFB-822 sounds more like a contrabass than a bass tuba. If that's what you want in an F tuba, then go for it. If I want a contrabass sound I'll grab a contrabass tuba, and for a bass tuba sound I'll grab a bass tuba. What works for you may not be what works for me, and that's great. So go for the YFB-822 if that's what you like. Just don't think of me as less of a musician because I don't.
