Santos,

I used one today with other new tubist, Aaron Lovely. I'm sure Sean will chirp in here and say how bad they are to play (he NEVER uses them), but me and my back sure love their light-weight characteristics (playing quality is pretty much secondary when the only people listening are tombstones). Usually we use them only for Chapel jobs...that meaning, a long 2 mile walk in the Arlington Bone-Yard. For big ceremonies, and short bone-yard walks (called, "transfers"), we all tend to use the Sousaphones. In reality, I've only really seen myself, Aaron Lovely, and sometimes, new member, Mike Eberly use them. Sean and Jon Voth tend to lug the Sousaphone no matter how long the walk. We'll see how crooked they become in 20 years.

Mike
