I haven't played a Yorkbrunner, but of the four Nirchl York model tubas I have played, all were delightfully responsive and easy to play (at least as responsive as the 5/4 PT-6/PT-6P tubas). Although I would love to have one, a big Nirschl would tend to overpower the amateur ensembles I am able to play with. Perhaps Jay Bertolet (who has one of the Nirschl tubas I have played) could comment on the utility of the horn, relative to other tubas?
