I gave a twirl through the archives and the general consensus seemed to suggest that RB and Dolly gave the best protection with Dolly winning for utmost best protection but losing out in terms of price and weight.
I like the idea behind the R&S.. being able to adjust to fit your horn and all. But it seems to me that all they really do is quiet your horn a little bit. In my mind the only legitimate reason to use a mute is to alter the sound so I didn't become enamoured with the R&S. I have an old wooden Miraphone mute that fits my PT-15 nicely but I don't have a clue what to use on my PT-6. Any ideas?
