I am in a situation similar to the person who wrote about the MET degree earlier. My situation is this: I'm a senior in high school, I want to major in music, and, like Anon, my goal is performance, but I don't want a strict performance degree (need something to fall back on.) I'm not really interested in education (all the respect in the world to teachers, it's probably the most rewarding job there is, it's just not for me), and I'm really looking at Music Therapy. I know Montclair State has a good Music Therapy program, but I just want to know if anyone out there has any experience and thinks that this is really worth persuing...any comments appreciated, thanks a lot!!!
