I think that you misunderstand the concept of a teacher's studio. Teachers accept applicants to their studios based on their skill level, musically and academically. They are not accepted based on which music degree they will pursue at the school. So, if Mr. P. is encouraging all of his undergraduate applicants to go the music ed route, you can be assured that he won't be turning them away as soon as they step on campus.

I'd be happier than a pig in poop if every eighteen year old who stepped through my door realized that the degree does NOT make the player...it's the effort and talent that does the trick!
