Just a couple of weeks ago I saw an OLD 4-valve alex F
(I think it was one of Floyd's) that had a 5th valve added
below the rotor set and a LONG pivot rod that carried
the traditional left hand paddle in the appropriate spot.
VERY clean workmanship, very clean functionally,
and a good solution to a couple of interesting probs
associated with squeezing tube in/around a horn
that may not have been designed to accomodate such additions.
The guy who was doing this stuff is a wizard, in Oakland,
the only one in town who's ever worked on my horns.
e-mail me if ya want his number.
