I am looking for a tuba for my son. He is in the 8th grade and has been playing the tuba for two years. Can you suggest a tuba that would take him through high school and won't cost a fortune? We have seen info. on the St. Petersburg 201N, VMI2103, VMI V0101 which is a 3/4 size. All of these tubas are in the $3,000-3,500 range. Also, is a 4/4 size better or 3/4-& what determines which one would be best....
