I appear to be 50-50. Only because the music degree came first, you know. The engineering education in my 30's, I am totally convinced, literally changed my brain structure.
So I reside on both sides of the coin, but I admit to being closer to the engineer side than the roll-eyes-back-in-the-head side. That is, I can understand, follow, and appreciate Rick-like excursions, but rarely do them myself. I still retain the female-musician-intuitive sense, and can understand the other side too, although the application of Compleat Illogic is more likely to make my eyes roll back in my head.
