Actually, I didn't mean the sould came from different locations in the room, but rather different locations on the horn.
As I sit and play without moving around, I clearly hear that different notes seem to be originating from several different spots a few inches (usually) apart - just enogh to be coming from the 3rd valve tubing vs the 4th valve tubing, etc.
