Penderecki Capriccio is a great piece for unaccompanied tuba! Though many people play it as if it's "avant garde" or "weird 20th century music" It was intended as an ethnic dance-like piece. Try a less grotesque approach to this one, and you can really make some beautiful music. the great waltz section in the middle leaves much room for interpretations, and it's got some great tuneful lines displaced by octaves and whatnot. Some serious study of this piece will reveal what a gem it is!
