Exactly. Darker and deeper do not really mean the same thing. Besides, look at the Schilke website. I remember them talking about doing tests on finish and silver plate is so thin, it is very similar to raw brass. Laquer, however changed the sound somewhat. It is in the archives somewhere. Look it up. I thought you are an engineer for traffic lights, not metals or resonance.
