I am sure that this person knows that the CD has better sound. Some people just are nostalgic about such things. It is easy to get nostalgic when it comes to something like Arnold Jacobs and the Chicago Symphony. I don't think anyone has a brass section like that now. I don't know if there will ever be one again. People might say that there is no value in these momentos. Elvis or the Beatles have their followings and people load up on their "stuff" all the time. I wouldn't ever do this, but for Arnold Jacobs recordings, I might be more inclined to think about it. There may very well be some merit in nostalgia when it comes to someone like Arnold Jacobs.
for me, the cd is enough.
