Prestige:

Great feel
fast valves, but not always accurate
large bell
if you find the right one, great sound and projection
nice low range and great upper range
intonation can be weird in middle register

642:

Great feel also
large bell
great valves once broken in
excellent intonation
nice in all registers

842:

thinner feel
great valves (best of the 3)
smaller bell (or so it seems)
great intonation
great upper register, fairly stuffy lower register

Of the 3, I would honestly go with the 642 UNLESS you could find a great Prestige (which is hard to do). I personally play on a Willson 2900, and really like it. Horns are something you need to play on YOURSELF and decide. I can tell you all I know about them, but it doesn't affect the way YOU will use and play it. Hope I can help.
