There is a fantastic ear-training method that was designed by Steve Colley, a horn player. I think it's called (of course) Tune-up. It is a CD with pure pitches, that first shows you how to play in tune with intervals and chords, using BEATS, not perfect pitch. It's fantastic!! you play along with it after listening. I heard a demonstration at a horn conference, where in a half hour four horn college students who had _no_idea_ how to play in tune, just jammed right in there after listening to the CD, even in front of a group. Hightly recommended...if you do a web search you ought to be able to find it. It comes with a book and a CD.
