you need someone to tell you how to practice
even if you are a great player, a subjective listener hears your problems much better

I once attended a 2 week masterclass by trombonist Branimir Slokar, and he confessed
he wat not really talented, end has had to work really hard, with a lot of support from different teachers
It was a real shock to me at the time, as i admired the man greatly, and discovered i was more talented then he was, he just worked much harder....
