My memory isn't nearly that good--I can't at all remember what he played. What was it--1984? maybe '85? He played in the Bass Recital Hall at the University of Texas. I don't even remember what sort of horn he played--big lacquered rotary is all I remember.
He had a totally different look going in those days, didn't he?
