I have started to have muscle control problems, specifically when I play soft. I am not sure what the cause is, other than I switched to a bigger mouthpiece recently and I also play trumpet in our University's third band. When I play in the upper-low range of the horn (about E to A), my sound uncontrollably wobbles. I did a little researching and came up with the possibilities of either A) fatigue or B) a rupture of the orbicularis orbis muscle. I was just wondering if any of you had a similar experience and what your solution to the problem was. Thanks.
