If you're a BBb player the "William Bell Complete Method" from Charles Colin is very good. It has Bell's Warm Up
exercises, his Blazevich Interpretations version, his abridgement of Araban (the Arban-Prescott trombone/baritone version is also
an abrigement) as well as many of the artistic solos and duets in Arban (including Carnival of Venice) in keys which give you the
same fingerings on a BBb as on trumpet (allowing for some different octaves). Also has two Marcello cello Sonatas (G Major and
A Minor) and a couple of unaccompaied "Bach Suites". At 260 pages it's not as complete as the "Complete Arban Method for
Tuba", but the fingerings lie better for BBb tuba. Also has a good 4 octave BBb fingering chart.
If you play CC tuba, I think you're better off with the Jerry Young Arbans Complete Method for Tuba from Encore. The books are about the same price (Bell $45 vs Young $50) and the Young version has been written so that the CC fingerings lie as they did for trumpet in the original. Bells does that for BBb.
