Dave Monette makes outrageous claims about his products that are hard to believe. Not to mention that his mouthpieces are way over priced. His tuba mouthpiece is a copy of a Helleberg style mouthpiece with extra brass on the outside. If you want to spend the extra money for the prestige, go ahead it’s your money. But you have to realise that a heavy wall mouthpiece is no more expensive to produce than a light wall MP. The only extra cost to the manufacture is the loss of recyclable brass chips. Maybe $1 or $2 max!
