I read an article recently about a spring-loaded adjusters connected to a tubas main tuning slide. This is to eliminate the need to adjust individual tuning slides. Does anyone have any info on this? Are there kits available or ould it be fabricated on the individual instrument? If it is fabricated, what would a reasonable price for this service be? My main tuning slide is fairly stiff, is there a special lubricant or procedure to loosen it up for this to operate easily?
