I'll second the recommendation for the 181-6. I bought one about a year
ago (used from WWBW), and have been very happy with it. 5th harmonics
tend to be a little flat, but that can be accommodated. Otherwise,
the horn speaks well in the low register, and sounds good. I got
mine for about $3K (and that's for the slightly-more-expensive gold
brass version), so if you keep your ear to the ground you might find
one in your price range.
