That still beats $2500/mo for a 1-bed, 4th floor walk-up. I wouldn't drive in Manhattan, and I sure as HELL wouldn't take my axe on the subway. Wouldn't want some ham-handed cabbie tossing it into the trunk, either.
So, just how does one negotiate midtown with a tuba? Especially if you live on Staten Island or out on Long Island?
