Recently I had to have a tooth located right in front of my lower jaw pulled. I was joking with the director of our community band saying to him that if he heard any whistling coming from my horn while I played, he would know why.
Then he told me about a band director he knows that at one time had a brass player who had a tooth out in front. He could play one note, hum one, and whistle one, all at the same time. Don't know how good the chords were, but it had to be interesting even if the notes were a bit out of tune.
