I also frequent a flute message board, and when i first came across this thread, I didn't realize that I was on the tuba board and found it a rather mundane thing to be posted. I just came back and realized that it was here, and it made so much more sense!! It was a lot more deragatory, but it makes so much more sense!! It's ok, I enjoying making fun of trumpet players quite often myself.
While most of your insults are true to some degree, I like the piccolo!!! I wouldn't give up lugging my tuba around for anything either, though. The tuba actually makes a nice carrying case for the piccolo.... anyway...i'm rambling now...
