Isn't this exactly the type of teaching that Arnold Jacobs rejected so eloquently? I.e. your body is too complex to monitor and direct these types of embouchre changes so consciously. Even if it's true that most players play high notes with their lips turned in and blow downward, concentrating on doing that will have them associating embouchre changes with different notes instead of sounds. Concentrating on the pitch and the quality of sound that they're shooting for and making sure check to how much air is actually going through the mouthpiece (instead of how much air it seems like they're using: pressure vs. flow) is a much better way to go about this with the kinds of excercizes and drills listed before.
